Mount Druid is located in Castletown Geoghan, a picturesque village in Co. Westmeath close to Athlone and Mullingar. There’s a quirky wedding venue with a tin chapel for the wedding ceremony, drinks at the Boathouse and the shindig at the barn. The venue is in a working sheep farm. Where else would Aoife, a Roscommon sheep stealer, and Mike, a Derby Ram, choose to get married?
We have access to the venue on the Friday night to be make any finishing touches to decoration for the chapel, boathouse and main hall. Join us to lend a hand and maybe have some food/drink!
The big day, join us for the wedding ceremony in the tin chapel then afterwards the reception, meal, drinks and dancing into the early hours!
Aoife and Mike have decided to travel back to Athlone for their day after’s. Come join them for a pint and a bite to eat at one of the oldest bars in the world, Sean’s Bar, from around 5pm. More details can be found here
